Take Me Vintage Shopping Please!

What is Vintage?
Yes, this is me still fixated with regards to the vintage approach to fashion. I just cannot seem to get enough of this old yet timeless style and it has me constantly lost in a time warp.

But be warned my fellow fashion slaves, it’s not just some thing ‘old or borrowed’ that granny used to show off, please steer clear of this insipid mix-up.

It is the one chance you actually get to amuse yourself with fashion as you take pleasure in the feel of a different epoch with each garment worn. It is a reverie for the quirky personality as we find it enticing to vary in moral fibre every once in a while.
Here is an immediate tutorial in the vintage department:

1. Antique

In general, anything prior to 1920. These usually run small in size and are made of delicate fabrics. These are often bought as investment pieces to display and not to wear but who could resist trying on a fine-looking piece of art.

2. Vintage
Clothing from the 1920's to roughly the mid-1970's.

3. Consignment
Current or near-current styles, usually less than three years old. Some vintage pieces can and do end up in consignment shops, particularly handbags, jewellery, and shoes.

4. Thrift, Resale, Second-hand:

A term generally applied to clothes donated for charitable resale at such places like Salvation Army and Goodwill. May also apply to inexpensive goods sold at flea markets
