Firstly I would like to confess that "I am NOT a runner" but the Nike Run Free, Run Jozi campaign recently launched it’s 10 km night race to celebrate Human Rights Day ,21st March 2012 & as a fellow Joburger I could not miss the opportunity to support the campaign which has two great causes in mind :
1. Rejuvenation of the city center
2. The community taking stand (or run, in this case) against crime...
The amazing trend is part of Nike’s We Run City 10 km World Series, also taking place in cities like Rio de Janeiro and Buenos Aires, thus giving me the chance to be part of something bigger, which is... Nike hosting 150,000 people running their cities by the end of this year!10,000 runners will start off from Nelson Mandela Bridge and pass through sightings and monuments which pay tribute to our countries heritage and historical icons.
I cannot wait - I start my training today!!!
