Dolce & Gabanna Fall 2013 |
The Brocade Trend is something I never thought would re-surface but am so amped that it has. Brocade is a class of richly decorative shuttle-woven fabrics, often made in colored silks and with or without gold and silver threads which in modern times is mainly used for upholstery or draperies but with this current/upcoming trend we are being transported back to the middle ages where Brocade fabric displayed a sense of opulence of the noblemen and women fashionable wearing it .This is quite a drastic shift and a perfect textural responce to all the digital prints that we have been bombarded with lately, the move from the futuristic print trend to a more "old-fashioned" and regal approach is a breath of fresh air...
